Foi uma experiência incrível e desafiadora trabalhar nessa arte, onde busquei transformar os conceitos verbais e musicais compostos pela cantora em uma representação visual.
A música aborda a ideia de se ver em uma nova versão após se envolver com alguém, mostrando como, mesmo diante de uma frustração nesse relacionamento, a experiência permitiu que ela se enxergasse de uma maneira melhor. Assim, na arte, procurei representar uma pessoa segurando um espelho para outra, onde o reflexo parece revelar o autoconhecimento, mostrando todo o percurso que a levou a essa nova versão de si mesma.
Para criar esse conceito, contei com todas as informações que Milena compartilhou comigo, detalhando toda a história por trás da música, concedendo-me ampla liberdade criativa para desenvolver essa arte.
[ENG] Milena Melo is a singer from Bahia, Brazil, who recently released her new single called "Versão de Mim," and I had the pleasure of being responsible for the artwork development for its cover. It was an incredible and challenging experience working on this art, aiming to transform the verbal and musical concepts composed by the singer into a visual representation.
The song delves into the idea of seeing oneself in a new light after being involved with someone, showcasing how, even amidst frustration in that relationship, the experience led her to see herself in a better version. Thus, in the artwork, I sought to depict one person holding a mirror for another, where the reflection seems to reveal self-awareness, portraying the entire journey that led her to this new version of herself.
To create this concept, I relied on all the information Milena shared with me, detailing the story behind the music and granting me significant creative freedom to develop this artwork.
